چکیده
The classic finite difference method (FDM) has been successfully adopted in the simulation of dendritic solidification, which is based on phase-field theory. Nevertheless, special strategies boundary integral and projection are required for applying a supercooling rate to droplet surface. In present study, isogeometric analysis (IGA) employed discretize equation due two advantages Non-Uniform Rational B-Splines (NURBS) basis functions, namely an arbitrary order derivatives exact description complex geometry. addition, improved, easy way apply melt surface proposed avoid cellular FDM. Firstly, dendrite growth square computational domain simulated verify performance IGA. Then, influences latent heat, anisotropic mode initial angle shapes studied by presented IGA, FDM element (FEM). Finally, solidification under different cooling rates along irregular boundaries performed

Isogeometric Analysis of Boundary Integral Equations
Isogeometric analysis is applied to boundary integral equations corresponding to boundary-value problems governed by Laplace’s equation. It is shown that the smoothness of geometric parametrizations central to computer-aided design can be exploited for regularizing integral operators. As a result, one obtains high-order collocation methods based on superior approximation and numerical integrati...
متن کاملAn improved isogeometric analysis method for trimmed geometries
Trimming techniques are efficient ways to generate complex geometries in Computer-Aided Design(CAD). In this paper, an improved isogeometric analysis(IGA) method for trimmed geometries is proposed. We will show that the proposed method reduces the numerical error of physical solution by 50% for simple trimmed geometries, and the condition number of stiffness matrix is also decreased. Furthermor...
متن کاملAn Improved Isogeometric Analysis Using the Lagrange Multiplier Method
Isogeometric analysis (IGA) is a novel computational approach recently developed by Hughes et al. [1]with the aim of integrating computer aided design (CAD) into structural analysis. It uses non uniform rational B-splines (NURBS) for both description of the geometry and approximation of thesolution field. NURBS are the most common basis functions in the CAD systems. Using CAD basis functions di...

An isogeometric boundary element method for problems in elasticity is presented, which is based on an independent approximation for the geometry, traction and displacement field. This enables a flexible choice of refinement strategies, permits an efficient evaluation of geometry related information, a mixed collocation scheme which deals with discontinuous tractions along non-smooth boundaries ...

This paper proposes a method of constructing a dynamic model of a ventricle based on isogeometric simulation so as to diagnose cardiac disease more accurately. Isogeometric simulation is an accurate simulation technology based on NURBS, which has evolved into an essential tool for a semi-analytical representation of geometric entities. Especially, a new method of moving control points is used t...
